HOLY SNAP!!

YESSSSSSS!!! was my surprise today when I went on the web to see what was coming this summer to my glorious city and to the joy of my bank account, I got news that METAL GODS METALLICA will be gracing us with their metal horns (or will it be us gracing them?!) on the 19th of September and I'm so stoked about it, just ask my Lady and she'll confirm it that I'm HELLA EXCITED!! Tickets go on sale this saturday at like 10 am and I'll do my best to get the best seats.

Also

On sale as well on saturday are tickets to go see City and Colour at Theatre St-Denis on May 23rd, I'm also pretty excited to go see that with the Lady, seeing that she has yet to see him perform live, yet she does get to see me everyday and I do belt out his tunes all day and in all kinds of ways around the apartment all day long, actually both of us are in bed on our computers and we just went through the whole City and Colour tracks on my iTunes. Like I mentioned before, really motivating me for spring.

So voila, also other shows on their way in MTL but I won't mention them now, my wallet is already scared enough as it is :-S

Prrrrrrrrr.

Also if anyone is on board to see Metallica with me, let me know soon, I'm getting my tickets saturday morning!!

Yeah, so what if I liked it?: Marley & Me

Ok I seriously thought I could get away with it, just post about other things but no. Here is the first of one of my new segments "Yeah, so what if I liked it?". Lady and I have been trying to watch this movie for the last week and tonight was the night. The story follows a young couple who decide to start off their family by getting a puppy "the Clearence Puppy" that they name Marley. We then follow their relationship with Marley as they have kids, move from on city to the next all till the end...that's when I lost it, I lost all dignity and was just really sad... need I say more? Just rent it and enjoy it for what it is. and the Dog will simply make you happy.

Everyday I Write the Book

So like I mentioned in the first post that today's weather was going to be grey. Twas the case but I worked for like 9.65 hours so I didn't miss much, just made my ride home even more exhausting and depressing. Now I'm on my week end which at the moment consist of mondays and tuesdays as a mundane saturday and sunday. Can't wait to start school my friends like you would not believe. For those of you who don't know me well, I'll be starting a Cabinet Making course in May to become a Cabinet maker and make better use of my brain and hands and ideas compared to what I'm doing now... working the breakest bar and being a suitor (nifty word for busboy) at the restaurant at the W Hotel in MTL. The pay is well enough to keep me there in the time being but to me it's not my idea of fun.

Otherwise all is well, had a nice evening with the lady and now I'm chilling, turned off the Junos after Nikelback's third (Oh please don't act so suprised Chad) Juno. Listening to some Elvis Costello... by the way, is it me or did he age badly? Anyway still chill ;-)

Prrrrr.

Getting there.

Bravo Mister Green

I don't really care much for award shows, I really don't but tonight was different. You see, I'm currently watching the Junos, it's our answer to the Grammy's, the Brits and so on. We reward our Canadian talent with a trophy named after a beach in France, where Canadians sacrificed their lives to fight the Germans in 1942...Juno... and now I'm watching Nickelback accept their second Juno of the night... it's gonna be a long night.

Goodtimes! Actually I still don't know why I'm watching, could be because I don't have cable and so I only have like six channels to choose from. Anyways, I tuned in because Mr. Dallas Green was up for best songwriter award and his category made my life easy seeing that it was the first award given during the night, well City and Colour won which made me super happy because like I mentioned in my previous post, spring is here and he's all that I've been listening to on my iPhone these last few days. Seriously try it, if tomorrow it's sunny outside put on some City and Colour and walk around, it will be the soundtrack to your day I promise you if you haven't heard of City and Colour then do yourself a favor and look him up, he's a diamond in the rough among great Canadian songwriting, I mean c'mon he got a Juno for it!

Here is a video from the man himself, enjoy and yes, there is still more to come.

Prrrrrr.

Getting slightly better at Blogger.

Spring, the beginning of new things, like my first Blog Post!

So here it is, my moment of Zen. After 2 failed attempts at doing a Blog, I'll try it again, just one final time! If you are from Montreal, WTF was up with the weather today?! +14?! Goodtimes!! Today was a good "chill" day, although I was a little hung over, I couldn't miss out on the first real day of spring and decided to walk about my hood (le Plateau) with my camera and try to capture a bit of what was my day, I hope you like and please do comment. Also for my European friends, here is my hometown, if you like then please come and visit, you are more than welcomed!

Bummer is that today it's gonna rain :-( But it felt good to find the city in high spirits again, winter was long I think on all of us. More to come now, this is just a first, so encourage it and I'll motivate myself to update more frequently!!

Prrrrr.
