LAST LITTLE DETAIL, THE REFLECTOR ON THE FRONT WHEEL IS MISSING, THAT'S ALL THAT WAS LEFT NEXT TO THE BROKEN BICYCLE LOCK.

Gossip Preview

Saw Gossip last week with the Lady, really good show, more pics to come soon...

What to listen to this week

Ok

I've noticed that most of my "what to listen to this week" posts are mostly punk and hardcore records and according to the people who look at my blog most of these posts don't really speak to them, that is why I'm about to change it with this.

Their called Noisettes and their from the UK. I came across them while listening to OUI.FM on my iPhone while cooking the other night and while the Lady is in desperate need of some new music to listen to on her iPod, I figured that this album could actually get some rotation around the apartment, and so far so good. To sum it up quite simply.... if The Tings Tings made love to Amy Winehouse (vomit) and Gossip, you would get Noisettes as it's baby.

Usually I just post the link to the band's MySpace page at this point but I'm feeling that most of you will enjoy this so just have a look at the video below.

ENJOY!

I'm really enjoying this song from Jack White's latest group. That's right, after The Raconteurs and obviously The Whites Stripes, Jack White returns with The Dead Weather also featuring on vocals the beautiful Alison Mosshart, one half of The Kills. Anyways, good album but this song kicks ass and the video is pretty unusual as well.

Enjoy!

I Like This

I'm really coming across here as a full grown child but really I'm not, it's just that this movie looks fantastic and I trust Spike Jonze, so do go see it, it opens this friday and hopefully it's as good as it looks.

Enjoy!

Born and Raised

That's right

Before heading off to Europe for fall, Alexisonfire filmed a video for their new single "Born & Raised" in a chinese restaurent... it makes sense. Anyways for the fans who missed the band during the Vans Warped Tour (me) then you'll be happy (sarcastic) to know that Alexisonfire is on a Arena tour (Bell Center...) with Billy Talent and will be in our fair city on March 24th (March 16th if you're name is Marrey Myre).

For my European friends, do me a favor and see them live in a small club and think of me when I'll be in the red or blue section of Hockey Arena.... but seriously, check them out, good band, amazing live!

Hey y'all

Just saw one of my favourite bands tonight, Every Time I Die and it was as always, really "mind blasting!!". I wasn't aloud to take photos because of the security "Mafia" at the Metropolis. Why won't they let me shine!?!?!

Well now I'm home watching Daily Show and online surfing when I came across Jordan Buckley's website. Jordan Buckley is a guitarist from Every Time I Die and he also designed the album's cover and liner notes. HERE is his art website, if you've seen ETID live before or seen any of their DVD's you'll see how art reflects the artist or the artist reflects the art... whatever, have a look, it's fucking cool!

Mont-Tremblant Getaway

About 2 weeks ago me and the Lady brought up to Mount Tremblant her friends from France to give them a Canadian nature treatment. We rented a chalet in the woods that had the perfect look of anything that is horror movie type looking. I spent the evening doing my movie guy voice "they were four young people, alone together for the last time, until..." besides the chalet there was nature and we enjoyed it fully by going for long walks in the forest. It was beautiful to see all the leafs change colour and it just felt good to be away from the city.

By the way, we rented a car and the car that they gave me was a red Dodge Charger.... it really moves, I went up to 180 on the highway heading down to Montreal. On my way back though, I was cautious because I came close and I mean really close to hitting a moose, scary. Anyways my camera decided to be blind all week end and took loads of pictures out of focus so here are some of the ones that turned out ok. Turns out it was the sensor was off...

What to listen to this week

Out for almost a month now and kicking it hardcore in my iPhone is that latest from one of my all time favorite Hardcore bands Every Time I Die. This one is up there, not to say I've had problems with previous releases, it's just that the sound is there, kicking you're ass track after track. I'm really happy with this album simply because I get the feeling that I'm grampa Simpson when I go out to shows nowadays and the whole scene is slowly dying by the appearance of a lot of shit bands. Every Time I Die and others like Poison The Well remind me what it's like and this album does this to me.

By the way, Every Time I Die is playing on the 8th of October at the Metropolis with Bring Me The Horizon and the Architects. Well worth checking out, super pumped to see Buffalo's finest.

This is why I haven't posted in a month!

Like the title says, this is why I haven't updated my blog in the past month. I went crazy one day and bought the new PS3 Slim and I've been hooked since. To be honest, I enjoy it as a full entertainment system, not only are their games but I watch all my movies on it, music and photos as well but the kicker is watching and playing games in HD, all the ladies don't care but wow for the HD.

Enough with the bore but here are some of the games I got so far.
Gran Turismo Prologue, I've been a Gran Turismo fan since day one and so I bought this game with the system and the images are "mind blasting" too bad there aren't many tracks to race on but I assume that this being the prologue, that the full game will feature loads more.
Brothers in Arms, I got this for 20$ on a street sale and it's stunning, beautiful images and great recreation of World War 2. My only problem is that I have to order around my troops and it gets fucking annoying, haven't played it in a while but willing to give another try.
Metal Gear Solid 4, Guns of the Patriots, like Gran Turismo, I've been a fan of this series since the original Playstation days and this one is the "Bee's knees" and like Gran Turismo, it's mind blasting and also in full HD and visually stunning, I highly recommend it.
Picked up HNL '08 for 5 bucks and it's good, I don't enjoy the fact that people get sucked into these games every year because of slight changes and blah blah blah. This one is a solid title and I'll make it last, the only pain in the ass is that I can't play a regular season, I have to do this Dynasty crap where you get to run the team on all levels and it's really annoying, I just want to play.
Lastly it's my big suprise. Uncharted... it's like Idiana Jones, meets a Kung Fu action movie. I really enjoyed this adventure game where you run around the jungle shooting bad guys and climbing up buildings and rocks searching for treasure, the sequel is coming out next week and I'm mega excited for this but I think I'll take the time to complete the games that I have rather than buying more.

If any of you have a PS3, add me as you're friend so we can play online, my screename is kid_a182.
