Might still be early mind you today's weather was intense but nonetheless here is my movie preview for fall and winter 2009 because we all know that eventually the leaves will fall and so will the weather, then followed by the snow, so here are some very interesting movies that will keep us busy while the world falls apart around us ;-)
For Starters, here are some pics from the NEW James Cameron movie titled Avatar. This is Cameron's first movie since Titanic, expectations are high for this one seeing that he has waited 14 years on this project for the technology to catch up with his vision. This movie is planned to be in full 3D with special camera's made just for this. Below are a few screenshots.
Second movie on my list is a children's classic, based on Maurice Sendak's book, Spike Jonze spins his take on the story and although the release date was put back on numerous occasion speculating that the movie was becoming a gigantic task and could possibly fail, take a look at theses pics and watch the trailer. You'll enjoy it.
If you haven't seen Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Royal Tenembaums or The Life Aquatic, then make a movie and watch all four before rushing out this fall to see Wes Anderson's latest magical movie. This time changing things around and using classic stop motion animation to tell his story about the Fantastic Mr. Fox, voiced by George Clooney and also stars Jason Scwartzman and Bill Murray.
It's been a while since we had a bizarre comedy in the likes of Napoleon Dynamite. Director Jared Hess decided that it was time for us to get another glimpse of his bizarre universe in his latest comedy called Gentlemen Broncos. It's about a home school young man who gets his story ripped off by a science fiction writer named Ronald Chevalier (played by Jermain Clement from Flight of the Conchords). Judging by these pics and the trailer, this will be classic.

After years of remaining quiet but yet still very busy (District 9, Tintin, the Hobbit) Peter Jackson is back at doing what he does best and that's directing supernatural thrillers, not since The Frighteners in 1996 has Peter Jackson touched the subject. Here he is with The Lovely Bones. Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Alice Sebold, about a young girl who is murdered and decides to helps her family find her killer from heaven.... I'm ruining it by explaining it this way, just look at the screenshots and trailer and you'll get a better idea.
Just a mention, I found all these trailers on Apple's website, get the latest Quicktime to enjoy them all in HD.
Enjoy :-)
